About me

Who am I?

I am a Spanish woman who grew up in the Sierra de Huelva, in Andalucía, where close contact with nature and village life shaped my appreciation for a slower pace of living and the value of community and collective support.

I've walked my own path of healing —through pain, uncertainty, and the longing to reconnect with wholeness.

Living with chronic illness, moving through trauma, and learning to recover from burnout are some of the experiences that have shaped how I understand resilience, self-compassion, and what it truly means to care for ourselves in a holistic way.

Moreover, living far from home has also taught me a lot about belonging and connection — and how we can find a sense of home within ourselves, even when life feels uncertain.

But what has been most formative in my journey is the healing power of authentic relationships. This continues to guide how I meet others in my work — with openness, respect, and trust for the individual’s own process.

I find nourishment in movement, creativity, time in nature, and shared moments of genuine connection. To me, life unfolds as a balance between depth and lightness.

What is my professional background?

I bring over a decade of experience at the crossroads of mental health care, multi-disciplinary research, and psychotherapy.
My path began as a mental health nurse in acute psychiatric care, later guiding future professionals as a mentor and senior lecturer  through the realm of Public Mental Health and Community Psychology. I hold an MSc and PhD focused on Mental Health Promotion and  I have volunteered for over ten years with various organizations in public health, children’s services, and community mental health, gaining hands-on experience in community support and advocacy.

Now based in Copenhagen, I am completing my certification as a  Psychotherapist and Organizational Consultant at the Gestalt Institute of Scandinavia, while working as a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow in Organizational Psychology and Occupational Health (University of Copenhagen).

These experiences have shaped my understanding of how relationships, community, and everyday life conditions influence our health and well-being.

What is my approach in therapy?

My approach is to bring together, science and human presence — integrating academic insight, relational depth, and embodied wisdom. My main therapeutic work is grounded in Gestalt methodology and enriched by other modalities such as Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness and Somatic informed practices. I have also got trained in Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) which allows me to explore deeper the connection between body and mind in my practice .

Drawing from both clinical and academic experience and my own personal journey with mind–body connection, I see therapy as an integrative, dynamic and very context-based process rather than one-size-fits-all method.
